Day 1
Marty and I got to LA at 5am Thursday Morning, and around 8am the hotel let us check into the room, what a crappy place, I will never stay there again. The Hotel was kind of Close about 7 blocks from the Convention Center.
Sony Also Released the Price and Date of the Playstation2 ( Price $299 and the release date is October 26th ).
10:00 Am South Hall The doors opened and the first thing we could see was the EA Sports area, Madden 2001, Tiger Woods 2001, NHL Hockey 20001, Knockout Kings 2001, and a Bond Game, the graphics on the Madden game looked great.
We headed over to the Eidos Area since I am a Big Fan of Tomb Raider, the Eidos girls where passing out pictures of the new Lara Craft (Lucy Clarkson)

Eidos Also Had Lara Signing Autographs and you got a your picture with Lara, I did not get one, I did get a cool Tee Shirt and a Pewter Statue of Lara Croft.
The Best thing about E3 was all the free stuff you can get) Tee Shirts, Key Chains, Pins, Posters, and Game Info. The Game Shark Key Chains are cool click here for pic.
Marty and I spent the first Day in the South Hall Only. Creative Labs are coming out with cool Speakers for the Playstation 2 more info coming soon.
Madcatz are coming out with a Wireless controller for the playstation that works great. more info coming soon.
Most of the games you can read about on other Web Site that will do a great job with reviews of games, but there where a few games that looked really great, Smugglers Run (PS2) from Rockstar gets my vote as the best game of E3, I like games that let you run around anywhere you wish, no rules just go and have fun. Metal Gear Solid for the Playstation 2 also looked great, Konami only had a movie of the game. I played a little Tekken Tag Team Tournament (PS2) and that game is also a lot of fun, but it's still just tekken with better graphics, the series is getting OLD (Marty Kicked my ASS in this game), We also Played ECW Anarchy Rules (PS), it's no where close to Smackdown, the game was slow and had alot of collision problems, hopefully they are still working on this one, HBO Boxing (PS) was another game we played that Marty kicked my butt at, the game was also slow and had collision problems. We also played Driver 2, it looked good and played good. Dino Crisis 2 was also there and it looked good, but I do not like games that spend half of the game play talking, I want to just go out and start playing, but I have to be honest after playing and watching games played on the playstation 2 I do not see myself playing to many more playstation games.
The PC had some Killer looking new games also, MotoCross Madness 2, and Dirt Track Racing Spring Cars looked awesome. We did not spend much time in the PC, Nintendo or Sega areas, I am a Playstation User and Fan so I did not want to waste my time in the other areas.
Day 2
Day 2 started just like day 1 we would run around finding all the cool free stuff then we went to the West Hall where Sega, Sony and Nintedo had there mega booths. the only good thing about the Sega Booth has the Space Channel 5 Dancers. Sony's booth was cool but it was so crowded we did not stay in this area very long so we went to the Kentia Hall this area was more for PC stuff but there where some cool stuff there also, but we did not stay long in this area. We headed back to the South Hall (My Favorite Area) to play games.
Day 3
Day 3 we realized we missed a room the Concourse Hall and the Mattel Room. Mattel had some new racing games coming out that looked ok, but again after seeing the PS2 why even look at PS1 stuff? Not much was in the 2 halls so we again walked around the South Hall, I would say we spent 90% of our time in this area.
A few other games we played Rainbow Six Rouge Spear for PS1 this game was very early and it looked it, VIP another game that looked rushed, Micro Maniacs, Seadoo Racing Game by Vadical Entertainment this game looked very early and had allot of poop up problems and just did not look all that good. It looks like this Summer and Winter there will be a lot of new games for the playstation but I would save my money and get a Playstation 2, The PS2 will have tons of new games, and they will look and play so much better the the Playstation 1 games, I have over 280 PS1 games and after playing games like Smugglers Run, Tekken Tag Team, Ridge Racer V, and seeing games like Metal Gear Solid 2 and Track and Field, and the EA Sports Stuff the PS1 will make me think I am playing my old Atari 2600 system.
